MarbleTech is in the process of implementing a Information Security Management System (ISMS) comprising of the Information Security Policies, Procedures and Processes to effectively protect data/information of MarbleTech and its customers from information security threats, whether internal or external, deliberate or accidental.
MarbleTech was conceived in 2009, as the destructive events of the global financial crisis (GFC) of 2008 were playing out in financial markets across the world. It became increasingly clear that those advocating a more conservative approach to controlling businesses operating in the financial services industry had been vindicated in the wake of the GFC.
Part of the hubris of any market boom includes the liberal implementation of the latest fads in software, often at eye-watering expense. Many companies come to regret the purchase of costly software, especially when it came to integrating them with their own legacy systems.
As the fallout from the GFC of 2008 continued, it became clear to MarbleTech’s originator, Tienie van den Berg, that “glueing” disparate systems together in such a complex industry meant that these systems never speak the same language. And so, the seed of MarbleTech was sown!
This was the beginning of the first decade of the new millennium Tienie, together with Kobie Scott and Willie Scott, commenced development of what ultimately became the Marble system.
